RLAPS Looks to Promote Its Unique Educational Simulators with Up-And-Coming Indiana Race Driver
BROWNSBURG, INDIANA 04/02/2017– Race Like A Pro Simulators (RLAPS) has signed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Chase Briscoe to an endorsement deal. The agreement calls for Briscoe to endorse the new virtual simulator training system created by the Indiana-based startup, RLAPS. Under the agreement, Briscoe will utilize RLAPS on his website and all his social media. The race driver’s helmet will feature RLAPS (see photo).
RLAPS also will create videos of Briscoe training on the RLAPS Simulator to post on social media. Briscoe is also well known for racing online. He was the winner of iRacing Pro Race of Champions which features competition against other professional race car drivers from around the world, “I run triple screens at home. Once I put on the VR headset, I felt like I was really in the actual car with full range of motion. It (RLAPS) turned the iRacing into a teaching tool with full-blown motion. The track felt like real tracks with the bumps even more visible than before. The motion on the (RLAPS) simulator would have helped me prepare better—shorten the learning curve.”
Briscoe, whose hometown is in Mitchell, Indiana, was born into racing. Chase’s grandfather Richard Briscoe is a legendary Sprint Car owner, having 37 different drivers spanning 40 years. Chase’s father Kevin Briscoe is also on that legendary list. Kevin raced sprint cars for more than 20 years and won over 150 feature events.
Before moving up to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver series in 2017. Chase Briscoe won the ARCA championship in 2016 by winning an astounding 6 races in one season to do so.
“We are thrilled to have Chase as part of the Race Like A Pro Simulators team,” says RLAPS President, George F. Stone III, “His endorsement of our new product is a testament to the quality of our simulators and is an important first step in promoting this educational tool as we head to market.” RLAPS Simulators have been designed to be at the pinnacle of driver virtual experience. Developed with expertise from racers and the IUPUI Motorsports Engineering program, the RLAPS Simulator provides “close to life” realistic feedback that drivers feel during the simulation. With the development of accurate physics modeling and premium hardware, RLAPS is the one-stop shop for an ultimate driver training experience on a simulator to prepare drivers like Chase Briscoe for their on-track driving achievements.
The RLAPS Simulator has full motion with pitch, roll and yaw. Visualization is via an immersive display with either virtual reality (VR) headset or multi-screen display with 170° field of view. RLAPS also provides motion-cued vibration feedback, force feedback steering wheels, pedals, shifters and premium racing seats. The RLAPS software system is integrated to provide fast and accurate physics-rendering that reflects the real physics behavior of the race car to improve driver training on track interaction and racing.
