Briscoe Tunes-Up Tonight in Jason Leffler Memorial at Wayne County Speedway
The new ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards champion will get a tune-up tonight as the Mitchell, Indiana driver will be competing in the 4th annual Jason Leffler Memorial at the Wayne County Speedway dirt bullring in Wayne City, Illinois. If not only for a tune-up, the purse will certainly add extra incentive with $20,000 to win on the line. The race, originally scheduled for Thursday night, was rescheduled for tonight after rain soaked the area yesterday. Briscoe will be driving this No. 38 Midget tonight at Wayne County. He'll save the Big Tine car for the Chili Bowl.
Briscoe comes from an open-wheel background, competing in winged and non-winged sprints and midgets across Indiana from the age of 13 on. He's also the youngest 410 cubic-inch sprint car winner in history, winning at Bloomington Speedway at age 13, surpassing Jeff Gordon for the honor. Gordon was 14 at the time of his 410 cubic-inch win. Briscoe's dad Kevin Briscoe is also an accomplished sprint car driver and USAC winner.
