Point leader Briscoe fastest in practice at DuQuoin



DuQUOIN, Ill. (Sept. 4, 2016) - Current ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards points leader Chase Briscoe was fastest in practice Sunday afternoon at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds in preparation for tonight's General Tire GRABBER 100 presented by Federated Auto Parts, going under the lights for the first time.

Briscoe, in the No. 77 Big Tine Ford, edged out his Cunningham Motorsports teammate Grant Enfinger for the top spot, circling the mile dirt track in 34.743 seconds, an average speed of 103.618 mph.

Enfinger, the ninth different driver to drive the 22 car in 2016, was second fastest 103.538 mph. Enfinger is the defending race winner, winning back-to-back at DuQuoin in 2014 and '15.

Tom Hessert was the fastest among his Venturini Motorsports teammates, coming in third at 103.386 mph in the No. 25 Detour Sunglasses Toyota.

Ryan Unzicker (Hendren Motorsports/103.208 mph) and Ken Schrader (Venturini Motorsports/103.090 mph) completed the top-five.

Menards Pole Qualifying is next at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
