Challenge for drivers at Chicagoland is that you’re never going straight
Bottom lane is the fast way around the track
Drivers must complete the pass when they have momentum
Track conditions are constantly changing
Crew chief must find a setup where the driver can use the most throttle possible

No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150
Made his Chicagoland Speedway debut in the ARCA Racing Series in 2016, earning a front-row start and leading 86 laps before taking the checkered flag for his fifth win of the season. This will be Briscoe’s first attempt at the track in the NCWTS
Will be in the broadcast booth for Thursday’s ARCA race, joining Phil Parsons and Kevin Lee. The Scott 150 will air at 8:00 PM ET on FS1
Briscoe visited the Cooper Standard plant in Auburn, Indiana last week where he participated in a STEM event with more than 130 local seventh graders as part of a Chicagoland race advance
Briscoe’s seventh-place finish at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park locked him into the first round of the NCWTS Playoffs
Currently second in the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings, just one point behind leader Grant Enfinger
Sits fourth in the NCWTS point standings, just one point behind Matt Crafton
Leads all rookies in laps led (109), average running position (8.244), and driver rating (98.9). Leads all drivers in laps completed (2231 of 2235, 99.82 percent)
Will carry the Ford on-board camera at Chicagoland Speedway
Chase Briscoe: “I’m really excited to get back to Chicagoland because it is, for sure, one of my favorite mile-and-a-half racetracks. It’s pretty rough and you can move up to the top and search all over the racetrack. Chicagoland is one of the closer tracks to my hometown, and it seems like we get a lot of awesome fans in that area. It is nice to be able to go there this weekend having already clinched a spot in the playoffs and not having that added pressure. But there is still a lot to race for because we want to improve our regular season position, earn some playoff points with a win, and lock our Cooper Standard Ford F-150 into the owner’s playoffs.”
