Mooresville, NC - Chase Briscoe Racing will take on a different look when they roll into Duquoin, IL on March 17th. Chase will also step into the role of car owner as he has tabbed 29 year old driver Kyle Cummins out of Princeton, IN to fill the seat on the #5 CBR Quick Racing Products, Big Tine, Tex-A-Con Cut Stone, Cunningham Motorsports machine.

Kyle comes in with quite the racing resume consisting of 4 Midwest Sprint Car Series Championships with 10 wins in that series (6th most all-time). He picked up his first USAC National win last year at Kokomo during Indiana Sprint Week and also won the USAC National "Haubstadt Hustler" at Tri-State Speedway. It will be Kyle's first career start in a midget. When asked about the opportunity to drive for CBR, Kyle stated "I have wanted to drive a midget ever since I started racing but have never gotten the opportunity. Racing different types of cars will make me a better driver. When Chase talked to me about maybe getting to run his midget in March, I had my fingers crossed. After getting the call last week and making it official, I am very thankful and excited to get this opportunity. They have great equipment and I know the car is fast. Chase has already proved that. Now I just have to get some laps and hope to get a little luck as well. I'm very optimistic and I'm going there to win even without ever driving a midget. I know if the car is good we will be right in the hunt. I would like to thank CBR for this great opportunity and hope we can turn some heads and show I am a versatile driver."

Chase had this to say about his role as an owner and choosing Kyle, " I'm excited for this new role, thankfully I have supporters like Briggs Cunningham that allow me to try the owner role and give people chances like he gave me one. I'm sure once we get to the track I'm going to want to be in the car but I'm really excited to go and watch Kyle and give him an opportunity. The Cummins family has always been close to the Briscoe family and I've always felt like Kyle is one of the most underrated drivers in the non wing sprint car world. I feel like he is ready for the national level if he could ever find a full time ride, I wish I could give that to him but hopefully he can use this race as a way to get his name out there and someone can see what he's capable of in good equipment."
