Haubstadt, IN (July 14th, 2018) - Chase Briscoe “mopped up” the competition after a 2 1/2 hour rain delay at Tri-State Speedway on Saturday Night. The rains and lightning came at the scheduled start time in Haubstadt (6pm), but the skies cleared up and racing was not going to be denied at the 1/4 mile dirt track.
Briscoe came out in MOWA Heat #3 and drove his way to the front of the 10 lap event after starting 3rd, locking himself and the #5 CBR machine into the Feature event.
Starting in the 4th position, Chase worked his way into 2nd within 2 laps. Handling became a small issue at the beginning of the race, but the 5 car regained composure after an early yellow. Restarting 2nd, Briscoe reeled in the leader and set sail. Taking the lead on lap 11 and never looking back, Chase cruised to victory lane earning his first career win at Tri-State Speedway and 2nd Sprint Car win (Wing or Non-Wing) of 2018.
